Meet the Artist – Erika Pitera
My name is Erika, and I’ve combined my love of food, art and all things small to create a shop filled with miniature delicacies in one inch scale!
I’ve always had a flair for the creative: I’m a classically trained violinist and pianist, I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in visual journalism, I love to cook, and I’m always excited to learn new hobbies and crafts.
It all started in 2016, when I decided to learn needle felting, a sculpture technique using wool and other fibers. I began creating cute little mice, many of which were cooking-related characters, and Gourmet Fuzzies was born!
In an effort to provide my characters with more realistic food and kitchen accessories, I began to explore the possibilities of polymer clay. From there, I watched dozens of videos on YouTube and read tons of tutorials. Through trial and error, my love for miniature making was born.
The Petite Provisions Co. – Est. 2016
The Petite Provisions Co. is home to small batch collectible miniatures handmade in the USA! I handcraft dollhouse miniature food and decorations in one inch scale for adult collectors and hobbyists.
Some of my most popular miniatures include personalized tea towels and decorative signs, garden flags, cocktails, iced cookies, and my whimsical and fantastical Halloween creations.
I’ve had the honor of being interviewed and featured in popular publications for miniaturists, and I’m a member of the IGMA and NAME.

In addition to miniatures, I also practice the art of needle felting. You can learn more about it here!
I live in Saint Cloud, Florida, with my husband Tom and a motley crew of two adorably stubborn dachshunds and four delightfully mischievous cats. We own a pet photography business, as well, and we’re very passionate about volunteering at our local animal shelter.
