Meet the Artist
Erika is a creative soul with a passion for miniatures. She has always been drawn to the small things in life, and she loves to use her creativity to bring them to life.
Erika’s love of miniatures began in 2016, when she decided to learn needle felting. Needle felting is a sculpture technique that uses wool and other fibers to create small, detailed objects. Erika was immediately hooked on the process, and she quickly began creating adorable little mice. Many of her mice were cooking-related characters, and she soon started selling them online under the name Gourmet Fuzzies.
As Erika’s business grew, she began to explore other materials, such as polymer clay. Polymer clay is a type of modeling clay that can be baked to harden.
Erika loved the versatility of polymer clay, and she soon began creating all sorts of miniature food items, such as cakes, pies, and pastries.
Erika’s miniatures are incredibly detailed and realistic. She takes great pride in her work, and she loves the challenge of creating something so small and intricate. Her miniatures are a testament to her creativity and her passion for the small things in life.
In addition to her love of miniatures, Erika is also a classically trained violinist and pianist. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in visual journalism, and she loves to cook. She is always excited to learn new hobbies and crafts, and she is always looking for new ways to express her creativity.
Erika has had the honor of being interviewed and featured in popular publications for miniaturists and is also a member of IGMA and NAME.
