I recently participated in a critter challenge for Sarafina Felting Fanfare, an awesome and inspiring group of needle felters of all skill levels on Facebook. Each participant received a completed wire armature and an assortment of wool and locks in various colors. We had no idea what the armature was supposed to be, leaving it to our imaginations to create something new! The only rules were that we couldn’t add any additional wires to the armature, and we had to use at least some of each type of wool we received. I turned my armature into a squirrel! It turns out the armature was intended to be a mouse, so I wasn’t too far off. This was such a great way to get creative and think outside the box. I’m thrilled with the end result – Sheldon the Squirrel!
Your squirrel is adorable – your creative talent is very evident !!
